Religion Study at Home Curriculum

Preschool, Kindergarten, and First Grade

The first level in the study at home religion curriculum for early primary years have the following goals:

1. Foster an appeal for the sacred.

2. Form an image of God in their mind through stories of heroic deeds of parents, siblings, Church authorities, neighbors, people in foreign lands.

3. Discuss and read-aloud the major events and characters in bible stories.

4. Introduce vocabulary terms about God, Church and Family.

5. Introduce spontaneous prayers and memorized prayers.

Preschool Themes

Catholic Icing

Catholic Icing for Preschoolers is a flexible curriculum intended for preschoolers from age 2 to Kindergarten. The craft activities are suitable for self-teaching elementary aged kids as well. There is a classroom script in this site that teaches an alphabet letter each week. Lacy, young owner of Catholic Icing, produced excellent preschool themes that we can all use with our preschoolers as an introduction to our faith. Highly Recommended for Preschool Study at Home Resource.
